The award’s requirements and process are similar to the Faculty Excellence Award for Full-time Faculty. Each year a part-time faculty member will be chosen to receive the award. A peer nominates a candidate, and then the candidate submits a report on their performance in the following areas: Classroom teaching, student response to teaching, contribution to their department, and professional development or community commitment. A reference statement from a peer of their choice will be included. The recipient will be chosen by a committee composed of full and part-time faculty members. The award will be presented at the winter graduation ceremony.
Please honor a peer that has been teaching in your division (for at least 6 semesters) with a nomination for the Faculty Excellence Award Honoring Adjunct Faculty.
To nominate a peer, complete the nomination form (visit http://www.csmd.edu/Faculty/ and select "Nomination Form" underneath the current recipient's picture) and submit it according to the directions. Please note that your name will be revealed to the nominee, unless you request otherwise.
The deadline for nominations will be in September of each year.
